PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
The Instructor Development Course (IDC) take approximately 12 days to complete. This includes all the preparation work and exam practice required for the 2 day Instructor Examinations at the end. The IDC is very challenging, but extremely rewarding as it trains you how to teach diving to others. The IDC can only be run 5 times a year as it requires the examiners from PADI International (UK) to come down and run the in-water and classroom evaluations. To start the training to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) you must be a Divemaster and have been a certified diver for at least 6 months. The instructor training programme from DIVE THE GAP can take you from Advanced Open Water to Master Scuba Diver Trainer in 14 weeks. |
