England, Wales and Northern Ireland

PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors can apply to PADI for a Vocationaly Related Qualification (VRQ). A VRQ show a broad introduction to a particular vocational area. It showunderstanding of employment and industry.

Level 3

National Qualifications Framework in England, Wales and Northern Ireland Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) for England Department for Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DELLS) for Wales Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) for Northern Ireland. The certificate may be accepted by Further Education institutions as proof of eligibility for attendance at higher level courses.

United States of America

American Council of Education has recommende 15 PADI courses to carry credit. Relevent course are listed here. The instructional area is invariable : Recreation / Physical Education

PADI Underwater Navigator Speciality	1 hour
PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Speciality	1 hour

Emergency First Response Instructor	1 hour

Canada

Grade 10, 11, and 12 students need only present their PADI cards to apply for credit.

PADI Open Water	2 credits
PADI Advanced Open Water	4 credits
PADI Rescue	4 credits

Presumably there will also be vocational credentials for professional qualifications, however PADI do not supply any data. Contact your local PADI office to find out.
