Dahab Blue Hole

One of the premier dives in Dahab, the bells is a spectacular wall dive situated just north of Blue Hole, the Bells is deep sloping grove cutting down through the reef table, at the top of which is a small pool where the dive begins. Descending down through the grove, its open to the sea until it closes off at 18m and opens up again at 22m. Coming out and swimming along to the right, it is a vertical reef wall with large overhangs to swim under and cracks to look into as you forward towards Blue Hole. Gradually ascending, you come to the entrance of Blue Hole where the reef saddles down to 7m allowing access.

The Blue Hole is a naturally formed funnel that lies between the outer reef wall and the shore, and reaches a depth of 100m plus. A safety stop is usually made around the perimeter of the hole, exiting at a choice of 2 exit points.

As there is no bottom on this dive, it is best suited to experienced and confident divers. It is a site that is suitable for all whether conditions and although not known for abundant fish life, the dramatic topography of this site leaves divers jaw struck.
