Dahab, EGYPT
In the heart of the Gulf of Aqaba lies the beautiful, sea-side village of Dahab. With Sharm El Sheikh more than 90km south and Aqaba twice that North, Dahab is in the centre of one of the finest diving locations in the world. Unlike its more well known neighbours the culture, atmosphere and coral reefs have not been damaged by an over abundance of tourists and westernised companies.
Dahab leaves nobody in the cold, it is an extremely welcoming and invigorating place that has some how managed to harness deep relaxation and exciting adventure with local cultural, in one of the most beautiful places in the world. This is the so called 'Dahab Spirit' that brings even the hardened globetrotters back for a second visit.
Dahab also remains one of the finest diving locations in the world, with crystal clear waters, exotic fish life and a chilled out atmosphere world renowned. |
 |
|
All Year Season |
Dahab maintains sunny warm conditions all year round. Sea conditions are calm and mild. Unlike its neighbours the village has a cooling draught, meaning that even in the summer months it never gets too hot in Dahab. |
Top Diving Location |
Dahab is without any doubt one of the finest diving locations in the world. The sheer quantity of aquatic life and the underwater geography make it absolutely spectacular to divers. Almost all diving in Dahab is done from the shore, whice immediately gets rid of those strict boating timetables. |
Activities |
Other activities to do in Dahab :
- Windsurfing
- Quad Biking
- Horse Riding
- Swimming
- Snorkeling
- Desert Treks
- Arabic Lessons
- Yoga
- Sunbathing!
|
Social Scene |
Dahab has a huge social scene, (general work hard play hard atmosphere). There are dozens of bars, and nightclubs. Our Resort has one of the most popular venues 'Churchill's Pub' taking over after TOTA closed down. We have the med nights throughout the week, pub quizzes and a big projector screen on the terrace. There is also Rush the outdoor jungle night club, Yalla, Blue Beach and many others!
(don't over do the drinking though or you wont be diving the next day!)
|
Inexpensive |
Dahab is not an expensive place to live. Because the exchange rate is pretty much 10 to 1 you can get a fantastic meal for around £5. We have traditional English food, traditional Egyptian food as well as Indians, Chinese, Mexican, Portuguese, and many other Restaurants. (more than 60 at last count). All within walking distance |
Resort Facilities / Location |
We are the only large resort located in the centre of Dahab. We are right on the central promenade which joins our main courtyard. The resort then expands behind the dive centre away from the sea. This combines the best of both worlds.
- Restaurant (breakfast included in all our programmes)
- Swimming Pool
- Beech
- Terrace
- Churchill's Pub
- Dive Centre
- BBQ Station
- Projector Screen (with Nintendo Wii)
- All Rooms Air Conditioned

Dahab Nightlife
The after diving scene in Dahab |
|
Churchill's Pub |
Our very own pub has a great deal to offer. Grown in popularity since the closure of TOTA it now holds the Pub Quiz on mondays, as read by former Biker Grove Actor, George. There is a film night and, of course, sports nights. We host the Six Nations for the whole of Dahab, if you are out here in early spring. |
Yalla |
Yalla has an outdoor seating area around a balcony overlooking the main Dahab Promenade. The offer thirst quenching drink and tasty food. |
Rush |
The outdoor nightclub that took its design from the Amazon rain forest. A courtyard with palm trees, gravel paths, draw bridges, rope bridges and an elevated dj stand built out of coconuts and bamboo sticks. Outstanding on a friday night! |
Mojitos |
A new one offereing a range of cocktails in an upstairs dancebar. |
The Furry Cup |
A proper bar, with loud music! Tasty grub, featuring veal sausages and mash as the British special. They also have slightly more relaxed beach bar with swings instead of stools around the bar. |
Tree Bar |
A nightclub for those looking for a bit more action with a lot more people |
Special / BBQ Nights |
Every so often we run an event around the hotel swimming pool. Often a big BBQ or something different like Sushi, combined with traditional bedouin dancers. |

Dahab Shopping
Famous Bazaars of Dahab |
Dahab Shopping
The famous 'Bazaars' (shops) of Dahab come in all shapes and sizes across Dahab covering a wide variety of interesting and varying collectables. From Gold and Silver, to carpets, bags, shoes, jewlery, and the never ending supply of 'handmade' craftsmanship.
Dive The Gap is located along the central promenade of Dahab with Bazaars left right and centre. The shop keepers will test you haggling abilities, but remember, they wont sell it to you if they are going to loose money!
