Career Development Scuba Diving
Developing teaching and leadership skills to work as a dive professional and work anywhere in the world in fields from PADI teaching to research, conservation and professional photography. Internships involve hands on training working in tandem with one of our instructors to train divers so that at the end you have all the qualifications and experience that you need to work in the industry.
Professional Training Programmes
There are 2 kinds of PADI professionals in scuba diving. PADI Divemasters are on site managers, coordinating diving operations and leading divers underwater every day. PADI Instructors can also teach courses from novice to professional. Both of these can be used to work in the dive industry and when you finish your programme with us we will set you up with the right contacts to get you started. You may even find yourself working for us.
Further Development
Once you become a diving instructor we will train you to teach in a further 5 speciality areas. This increases your repetoire and employment opportunities, giving you a competetive edge in the scuba diving industry. With the qualifications you have, you need only certify 25 students and can immidieatly upgrade to the next highest instructor, PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
Further your Career
Once a PADI Master Scuba Diver trainer you can start a staff instructor internship. A PADI IDC Staff Instructor is an instructor that conducts teaching on Instructor Development Courses (IDC), that is the Instructor that teach Instructors. At the end of these internships you can then staff IDCs leading you straight on to a serious career position in diving, the PADI Course Director.
PADI Course Director
PADI Course Directors are the highest positions in PADI scuba diving. Course Directors (CD) oversee and facilitate instructor training, career development centres and instructor examinations. They are the required component of PADI Instructor Development Centre and have one of the highest gains of any diving position in the world. |
