On arrival to Cairo or Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, a VISA can be purchased for $15 (United States Dollars) or its equivalent in another currency. This VISA will last for 1 month from the day of initial stamp by passport control, the day you land!
Extended Stay
The Egyptian Embassy in London can provide you with a VISA to be in Egypt for up to 12 months, (6 months for multiple entry). Extensions can be made when necessary at the office in El Tur, (3 hours by bus).
Processing of your VISA application takes 3 working days. Due to the fact that the office is only open at certain times, and is in the heart of London, it may be easier to order you VISA by post, but make sure you do it well in advance.
Average price of the VISA is £18 (sterling). If you plan on going on the Discover Petra, or Discover Jerusalem trips please make sure that you request a multi-entry VISA.
Please be aware that this embassy closes exactly when it says it will, and will not re-open until the next working day. Do not leave it until the last minute!!
