Scuba Diving
Diving is a safe activity, with a proven track record. It is necessary that individuals stay within the limits of their experience and training and we instill these principles from day one. To ensure the health and safety of all of our customers we maintain the highest standards of teaching, exactly as stated by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). We are firmly committed to ensuring the safety of all of our customers, and any unsafe behaviour is not tolerated.

Diving Health
On booking a programme with Dive The Gap, you will be asked to fill in an RTSC medical declaration form. These forms are used as standard throughout the diving industry, and are a self declaration of your personal health.

If after going through the form, you can answer yes to any of the questions, it will be necessary to contact your local doctor. Usually it is not a problem, however you would need to consult with a medical professional, not a diving professional!

The form is available for download.

Dive Resort
The dive centre and hotel contain comprehensive first aid equipment, along with oxygen units which we take on every single dive in the unlikely event of a diving accident. There are 5 permanent staff all trained in CPR, primary and secondary care; 3 of which are Emergency FIrst Response Instructors. Additionally we are training students all the time.

The Resort also has 24 hour security and 24 hour Reception. There is also a CCTV monitoring system.

Dive Operation
The dive centre is fully certified by the Chamber of Diving and Water Sports (CDWS), the local diving governing body. Other certificates include an ISO from the European Underwater Federation (EUF). The EUF set the standards for safe diving all around the world.

We are also a PADI 5-Star Resort and PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Resort.
